It has over 150 peaks with more than 2000m altitude, 3 national parks (Biogradska Gora, Durmitor, Prokletije), rapid rivers, and glacial lakes. The Bay of Kotor

The beautiful Bay of Kotor is often called Europe’s most southern fjord. Technically it is not a fjord, but with mountain peaks surrounding a rocky coastline dotted with pretty waterside towns, it sure does look like one. The well preserved medieval city of Kotor is surrounded by splendid city walls and fascinating mountains and has been listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
